This policy is applicable to all hardware (incl. PC's, keyboard, mouse, headphones, web camera's, mobile phones, laptops) issued to team members by Inscripts.

The responsibility of safe handling of the assets issued to an employee shall solely lies with him/her and the Company is not responsible for loss or physical damage to the asset.

If an employee is issued a used device, it is their responsibility to check the device properly, and make sure that it is working fine.

I. Mobile Phones

- Issue of Mobile Phone is purely a need-based facility provided to an employee at the discretion of the company.

- Ownership of the mobile phone will reside with the company and the same shall be returned to the company upon resignation by/termination of the employee.

- The facilities approved in shall be intimated to the employees while issuing the mobile phone.

- Safe handling of mobile issued to an employee is the responsibility of the individual and the Company is not responsible for the loss or any damage of mobile handset even if it is in the office premises.

- In case an employee resigns from the services of the company, he/she shall handover the mobile in working condition to the Business Support Department.

- No exchange of handsets is allowed.

Penalties related to new issued mobile phones

• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued mobile within a year then 100% cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued mobile after 1 year and till 2 years then 75 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued mobile after 2 years and till 3 years then 60 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued mobile after 3 years then 40 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.

Penalties related to re-issued mobile phones

• If the damage or loss happens to a re-issued mobile within a year then 50% cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a re-issued mobile after 1 year and till 2 years then 40 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a re-issued mobile after 2 years then 30 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.

II. Laptop

- Issue of Laptop is purely a need-based facility provided to an employee at the discretion of the company.

- Ownership of the Laptop will reside with the company and the same shall be returned to the company upon resignation by/termination of the employee.

- Strict confidentiality of data/information shall be maintained by the employee to whom it is issued.

- The Employee may not download games, entertainment software, sexist, obscene materials, personal finance or any non-work related software on the company owned laptop. No installation of new software with the approval from the company will be done.

- The Employee is responsible for maintaining weekly backup files of their Laptop as an added precaution against data loss.

- To ensure that virus protection and other security patches are current, users must take responsibility that security updates are done on the Laptops on regular basis.

- The responsibility of safe handling of laptop issued to an employee shall solely lies with him/her and the Company is not responsible for loss of/ damage to the Laptop, and the entire amount of laptop shall be recovered from the employee concerned.

- In case an employee resigns from the services of the company, he/she shall handover the LAPTOP in good working condition to the Business Support Department. If not, the cost of the same shall be payable immediately.

• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued laptop within a year then 100% cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued laptop after 1 year and till 2 years then 75 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued laptop after 2 years and till 3 years then 60 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued laptop after 3 years then 40 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.

• If the damage or loss happens to a re-issued laptop within a year then 50% cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a re-issued laptop after 1 year and till 2 years then 40 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a re-issued laptop after 2 years then 30 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.

III. Mouse, Head phones, Web cameras

Penalties related to new issued Mouse, Head phones, Web cameras

• If the damage or loss happens to a new issued mouse, head phone, or web camera within a year then 100% cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a new-issued mouse, head phone, or web camera after 1 year then 30 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.

Penalties related to re-issued Mouse, Head phones, Web cameras

• If the damage or loss happens to a re-issued mouse, head phone, or web camera within 6 months then 50% cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.
• If the damage or loss happens to a re-issued mouse, head phone, or web camera after 6 months then 30 % cost of the instrument will be recovered from the individual.

If any discrepancy arises the management decision will be considered final.

The company reserves the sole right to modify its terms of use/issue and cancel the eligibility to have a company Laptop/Mobile Phone at any time without giving any prior notice.
